First off I want to welcome myself , I'm a new member and honesty love this fourm , there's alot of people with a lot of knowledge that we can all benefit from. Now on to my issue/issues

Just bought a new toy, 2003 seadoo utopia 205 with the mercury 240efi motor. I took it out for the first ride of the season last weekend for 1hr, everything was going fine till I tried to top her out , she would run stong till around 40-45 MPh then she would bog down (not stall out) to around 30 then stay at that speed full throttle. I took it out 2days later and same issue, runs great from 0-40 then bogs out . The next day I did a little online research and was told to check the impeller gate for anything and came across a very white oilily substance (hopefully you can see the pictures below) . I open the back hatch and there is nothing leaking where the motor is , I drained some gear oil and it looked fine ( black ) .

Can someone please point me in the right direction, I just bought the boat and only put 2hrs on it

Yep... that's not good.

OK... there is a chance that the one problem is causing both issues. But let me start with... DO NOT continue to run your boat, if there is a loss of power. With a 2-stroke... if it's slowing down, and you keep pushing it... it could be the end to the engine !!!

But... it looks like the bearing, and seal in the stator is done. If it over heats... it could grip the shaft, and slow the engine. So I would start by taking the stator off, and seeing what damage there is. And hope... the impeller shaft is still OK.

Ok thanks. I really appreciate all your help. Lol if I can pay you some how I would. I hope this solves my issue of leaking

It's kind of difficult for me to navigate that site because they don't give to good of a description of the part , this is the only seal and bearing I can see. Are they what I need
