03 GTX problem with mph and rpm?

Up until now, we've had few problems with out 03 seadoo gtx sc, but today i was out on it. and it wouldn't go 62 mph + like usual. The speedometer would have trouble getting past 52 mph. I thought this was weird but kept riding and about 45 minutes later when i was almost home. The check engine light came on but didn't kill the speed i was still able to go 40+. Any ideas?

Is it possible I've just sucked up something?

Look in the Jet pump.... I think on your model you can hit the set button 5 times and a trouble code will appear if there is one.
