02 GTX DI No Start Strange Electrical

Hey Guys Have a 02 GTX DI with 160hrs thats not starting all the sudden. This thing ran great 1st time out. Next week lost all power when putting key on lanyard, no display, no beep, nothing. Had 12.6 at battery and all fuses good on board and at rear electrical box. Found main AMP Connector 3 on board was little wet inside, cleaned up and reconnected and everything started and ran great for 6 hours all day. Next week ran for 4 hours and then it wouldn't start. Motor will turn over and crank but will not start. I hear fuel pump kick on when I install key and display works. I checked all fuses and have same 12.6volts. I pulled plugs and see they look wet with some fuel on them. I did notice display seems to go out when cranking but it comes back and sometimes will need to reinstall lanyard. It will still crank though. I was thinking maybe no spark or ground issue or even something on board. I do have continuity on ground from battery to both solenoids in rear electric box, and to engine. Also know I do have charging issue but wouldn't think that would cause no start. I did find ground pin on rectifier was green and corroded but had 12.6volts on both sides when connected. I am not seeing any error messages on display either. What do you guys think the issue could be and where should go from here on figuring out the problem?

Are you sure the battery is fully charged and good? DI's are very sensitive with voltage, and your known charging problems are an immediate red flag.

I put it on trickle charge overnight and maintaining a 12.95voltage now. Will crank but still not start. I put test light on spark plugs and have fire. I can hear the fuel pump energize with key in. I did notice something new. After 5 or 6 key off and on I heard the air compressor whine which I haven't heard b4 and also noticed which sounds to be pressure realizing from the fuel rail. I am not 100 percent thats when it coming from though. I do have a new battery on order to double check but I am starting to think fuel pump maybe not working properly. What are yalls thoughts?

Can a clogged/dirty fuel filter cause low enough fuel pressure to not start at all?
Should I start checking fuel line pressure at the rail and or injectors? If so what is cheapest way to go about testing these items or inexpensive tools to buy?

Yes, fuel pressure problems plague old DI's. Put a fuel pressure gauge in line with the fuel filter and check pressure with key in (should be 27 psi) and when cranking (should be 107). Note there are filters inside the tank as well that should be changed periodically in addition to the inline on the outlet.

Will a ski not start because of bad rectifier/regulator? Can I bench test these? I almost positive its bad but don't want to spend money on this now if I have to resolve the no start issue first. Bench test I only get .44 ohm positive to each yellow on diode test. Nothing at all on black to yellow. Yellow to yellow ohms 18 to 19.

Working on getting to fuel line test. Anyone have recommendations for cheap inexpensive fuel line tester?

It wasn't perfect, but i was able to use this kit to put the T in place of the inline fuel filter to measure fuel pressure: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VV29NHM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Load test the original battery,,,DI fuel pumps need perfect voltage,,,but you have not mentioned 12 volt maintance on the gauge,,.also,,,check the pressure from the air pump,,,if you had/have charging issues you would get the 12 v maintance message,,,

Yes no mainteance or lights on dash. I'll check fuel and air pressure now that my tools showed up. Anyone able to tell me if these regulator/rectifiers can be bench tested and if that could cause no start issue?

A poor rectifier will not prevent a startup...but it will run poorly,,,won't rev out,,of course as well,,the battery will be low as well, if it is not getting charged,

1. Did a compression test on the motor and running 132 and 134. One thing I noticed is mag cyclinder shoots smoke out plug hole during drown mode cranking and other doesn't. Is this normal on these skis? If not what could this indicate?

2. Also I just swapped out with new battery and engine runs now but is running rough and white smoke out exhaust. Should I get another rectifier b4 i start fuel/air tests and is the aftermarket ones ok to use? I can buy 4 or 5 of them compared to seadoo version.

3. After it ran for 30second to minute I pulled plugs and noticed pto spark plug was black/wet with fuel and mag side was clean with only fuel.

Thanks for the help and advice for so far!

I apologize for my previous post,,,a boat with a bad rectifier will, start,,,but will not rev out,,,will run rough.
