low compression but leak down test within specs - 2014 gtx 155

You should replace all valve seals. You will need to pry off and then press the new ones on to the head. Lubricate when you press on. You should clean all oil off the cylinder head and valve heads, then coat the valve seats and mating surface on the valves with blue dye (Dykem) to make it...

low compression but leak down test within specs - 2014 gtx 155

May not be easy to see a warped or burned valve. I flipped the head so the valves were up and poured mineral spirits on mine to look for leaks. You could use Prussian blue dye and lap them to see if they are warped and look at the flat on the edge of the valve head for signs of melting. You can...

low compression but leak down test within specs - 2014 gtx 155

136C is 276F which is very hot. Probably burned valves and possibly seats. Since the engine is out, might as well pull the head and fix it right. If they are burnt, will get worse over time. Check for a warped head as well.

2012 RXP X 260 not starting/dash flashes on and off when button is pressed...

I would start by checking your battery. If not that, check all power and ground leads coming from the battery and going to the engine and wiring harness for corrosion.

Pulled engine, What to change while it's out?

If you have the engine out, you may want to consider changing the carbon seal and bellows on the drive shaft.

    RXPX Milky Oil Flushing

I would not use the cheapest oil because if your engine is similar to my 2005 215, there are pockets inside the engine where the oil may not drain out of. There were 3 on top of the head and another in the bottom of the PTO housing. It may be worth taking the valve cover off and using a...

MASSIVE oil leak from oil sump pump PLEASE HELP

They may have done a complete tear down to look for debris in the filter from the timing chain. I suggest you also buy a new OEM gasket and filter screen (strainer #6 above) just in case someone put the wrong filter in which is keeping the housing from sitting properly. I believe the filter only...

MASSIVE oil leak from oil sump pump PLEASE HELP

Could be anything from a bad gasket to a cracked housing. You will need to take everything apart and closely inspect it. Looks for damage inside the gasket groove, distortion of the housing and block, cracks in the housing etc. Has this engine ever been apart prior to you taking the pump off...

Coolant Leak 21 GTI SE which lead to engine overheat

I replaced both seals when I rebuilt the engine last year per the procedure using the special tools in the manual as shown below. The process is you press the seal into the housing. Then you support the seal with the special tool and press the shaft through the seal until the shaft bottoms in...

Coolant Leak 21 GTI SE which lead to engine overheat

There is a weep hole between the oil pump and the water pump. Check to see if it is leaking from there. If it is, you would need to remove the PTO housing to replace the seal. Not sure if there is room to do this in your machine without having to remove the engine. A cracked PTO housing could...

    drive shaft spline

Measure the outside diameter of the splines on each end, measure the overall length and count the number of teeth on each end when it arrives. Mine was supposed to be the same to but it was not.

    drive shaft spline

This is what I had to do on my 2005. Used an arbor press to disassemble the coupling after pulling it into the hull to remove.. You are likely to find excessive deep pitting on the drive shaft under the coupling which will require it to be replaced. I polished mine on a lathe and was still very...

    4tec 1503 keeps hitting valves

Suggest you check strength of the valve return springs. Make sure there is adequate clearance between the valve stem and the hole. Replace the rocker arm (in case bent) and hydraulic damper for the valve. Are you running aftermarket parts such as valves or pistons? How many hours on this?

    Oil leak drive shaft

I would try tightening the clamp and clean it up first to see if it solves it. When I took the drive shaft out of my 2005, had a lot of problems trying to reassemble due to the heavy pitting on the shaft in the area of the O-rings under the carbon seal hat and under the bearing inside the PTO...

    Hull pee hole?

I am not aware of one on the models with the 4-tec engines including yours. They have a rigid water pump impeller, not a flexible rubber as used in many boats which can harden over time. Edited to clarify- the impeller is for the closed loop system. Exhaust manifold and supercharger if equipped...

2013 RXP 260 wiring identification plug

Do you have a functional vent to vent the crankcase fumes? Could build excessive crankcase pressure and blow a seal if you do not.

Having issues with 2002 Sea Doo GTX 4-tec cranking over.

To verify if the starter and bendix is good, I would use an external battery to crank the starter in the PWC. First disconnect both terminals to the PWC battery. Then disconnect the positive wire coming from the starter at the solenoid. Using a good pair of copper jumper cables, connect this...
