GTX on the water hose, IDLE REVS REALLY HIGH.

thanks for that. It sounds reasonable and i like the term "lean runaway". I did try it again and it did the same thing but not as bad. The weird thing is that it sat there and idled for about 30 seconds. It did not runaway until i hit the throttle. But, this time it did cut off with the kill...

GTX on the water hose, IDLE REVS REALLY HIGH.

I need someones help or advise. I installed a stator today on my 99 gtx limited 951. It was grounded. After the install, i hooked it up to the water hose to check the voltage. Battery has be on a trickle charger for 2 days, so it was fully charged. When started, the voltage reads around...

1999 GTX Limited 12volt low message..

yellow wires. I had the same problem. When checking the 3 yellow wires at the MPEM, check all 3, individually, with a voltmeter to ground. You should have no reading. Then check from yellow wire to yellow wire. You should read from .5 ohms to 1.2 ohms. You need to check yellow wires 1&2...

    "12 v low" problems

Thanks. I am going to test the battery and retest the stator, just to make sure. Just so I know, how difficult are the external recifiers to wire up?

REALLY DISCOURAGED. Is the 951 JUNK???

About the rattle. The noise seems to be coming from more of the front/top of the motor but does go away when the throttle comes up. Both skis have fully charged batteries and will start. The one that I put the stator on, is showing right at 13 volts. Not on a volt meter but an older...

REALLY DISCOURAGED. Is the 951 JUNK???

Well, I got them about a month ago. I had a charging issue on one of them and put a new stator on it. That fixed it. I just had a couple other issues that I wanted a supposed sea-doo certified mechanic to let me know about. That's why I took it to them. They were both running on Tuesday. Both...

REALLY DISCOURAGED. Is the 951 JUNK???

I just purchased 2 used 1999 GTX limiteds with the 951 motor. Everyone that I have talked to say that they are pretty good skis. I just took them to a local Sea-Doo dealer to have them check them out. I got them back today and now the buzzer/beeper isn't working, fuel filter housing ios cracked...

    Looking for some input

I tried that site and it went nowhere. What goes in where all the ****'s are in the address? Yeah, the previous owner says that they will do around 65 and I was wanting to see if that was true. All the sites that I can find say that top speed is 65. I sure do hope so. Thanks for your help.

Yeah, these look like they will be pretty stable. I had the little narrow Waveraider Yamaha's. These are much wider and longer. I can't wait to take them out. My neighbor has 2 with the smaller motor and says that these 951's should really move out.

    Looking for some input

So is it like between the rear of the engine and the battery/solenoid case area? Would they have changed that while doing an impeller? The impellers were done last spring on both skis.

    Looking for some input

These skis have a bilge pump in them, dont they? I have just been looking around the engine compartment, trying to get familiar with them, and there look to be a bilge pump. Do they take on water if you dont flip em?
