Tipped a GTX Limited 230 today. Didn’t even think it was possible.

The passenger weight limit on you Sea-Doo is most likely 605 pounds (with gas tank full and cargo empty). You have a sticker that says so. I found out that when you reach around 400 pounds these skis start to become more unstable and have a tendency to tip over more easily. When you get really...

    2014 GTI SE 155 or 2016 GTI 130

In Canada you could get a brand new GTI 90 with trailer for around 13K$-14K$ CDN if a bit less speed doesn't make you blink.

2018 Seadoo gti 90 se trim goes to 9 or 10

I believe 10 is correct. I could recheck on mine but I believe it goes five notches down and five notches up.

    2014 GTX 155 no start

On my 2 stroke, as soon as the key touches the post, and even before inserting it fully, I can hear a small click in the main fuse box.

    Another "water in engine" question

With a homeowner insurance your ski is seen only as a bicycle.

    2014 GTX 155 no start

The old keys are magnetized, not the new ones. The fact that you don’t even get display without the key makes me believe that it is probably not the post although I do not have experience with these newer models. My 2 stroke is really different from my 4 stroke. I would try another battery first.

    2014 GTX 155 no start

Your key? Do you have the new ball rounded post or the old style one? Not sure on a 2014. If you have the old style one, it could be a DESS post issue. If you press the red button without the key in, do you get any activity?

    Another "water in engine" question

With your homeowner insurance, you only get liability coverage or your 1,500.00$ as you say (I think it is the same if you get some stuff stolen in your car). Not worth claiming I think because the second one would cost you a bundle after that.

    LinQ Accessories

That is a good question. A friend of mine has a ski-doo with the Linq system and I intend to test my Sea-Doo LinQ accessory on it to see if it fits.

Or the DESS post is gone.

    Tight turn overheating

I wonder if running it on the hose out of the water would reveal something. Basically, with the hose on, some water should leak from the back of the ski. In a case where something would be blocked, it could reveal a problem. Could be just a sensor glitch however.

2003 RX DI No chirps with lanyard plugged

How did it happen in the first place?

    Tight turn overheating

I wonder if it is an engine overheating issue or an exhaust overheating issue as the exhaust is cooled by water.

Poor guy (brand new Sea-Doo tale)

This is starting to sound just as a soap opera... Actually they almost did last spring... For three weeks... They went back together, don't know why (well I have a pretty good idea but I won't say)... :) Fact of a matter is that a brand new Sea-Doo is already out of commission after less that...

Poor guy (brand new Sea-Doo tale)

Well, I just saw that brand new Sea-Doo being towed this afternoon so unless wife did something else to it (like sucking rocks or something else), the ski developed a major malfunction. The moral of the story is: check your ski when something happens, like losing 3 MPH after sucking rope. This...

    2018 GTX 300 - submerged underwater for 24 hours

The ECM has a unique number that is for sure. It is also tied up with the key. I am very unsure of what would happen if you switch it. One thing is sure, your neighbor is taking a serious chance by offering you that. Do you have gauge display on? Did it crank? There is a guy @Rikky001 that...

3 years and so close with one 1996 XP - still bogging

I am not a mechanics, far from it, but many of my smaller machines (back pack 2 stroke blower just to name one) have flame arrestors and these things get clogged over time making the engine bog down. They need to be cleaned when this happens (happened to my 2 stroke back pack just a few months...

3 years and so close with one 1996 XP - still bogging

Well, that is a little bit what I meant. When I had that issue, it could take me up to a minute to get my ski up to speed just by giving slow gradual presses (not jerking really). Could be the rotary valve not timed properly or the cover (mine was a bit stripped but after adjusting the timing...
