The carbs are tuned to the air pressures of the plastic air box. I would 100% reinstall the plastic air box This can cause a major issue such as a lean condition. If your gonna run no air box you will need to change your jet sizes as one would for a aftermarket intake

Cheap maintenance, and they don't seem to lose value. A nice 99 challenger goes for 7-8k here in illinois if you can find one. Id say do for it if you don't id like the contact if you wouldn't mind

Yeah its not bad. This is my 4th seadoo boat and iv owned many seadoo skis so its a bit easier to me. If you need any help pm me and ill give you a hand.

As far as money goes, I have 8500 wrapped up into the boat thats including the price of the boat and cover As far as hours I have about 60-70 hours wrapped up in it. By the time its done Ill have close to 80

Here are the directions I have from rossier

All of my skis with Rossier pipes have the watebox regulator removed and plugged. Two of the skis were done by Rossier in 2002 so I left them that way

I did it on my boat years ago but didn't like it very much.
