    low compression leak down good

Yea and if you're going that far I would inspect crankshaft while you have motor apart. Would suck to put the time and money into a new top end just have have a crank bearing let go.

Water in engine after forgetting drain plugs 1998 Seadoo SPX

I'd be more worried about the water sitting in the engine than anything else. Like Popps said, why order a coil? is it not getting spark? Hopefully they have checked everything else and not just throwing parts at the ski at your expense.

    Plug Reading 787 GSX

I never reinstall that airbox on my skis. Just have to open up the lows a little to compensate. That airbox makes it a PIA to tune and inspect everything daily. I'm actually going to switch over to Tau Ceti aresstors when it's time to service carbs again on my skis.

Could be, the bumpers slip off pretty easy. Clean out PTO and impeller and make sure there's nothing in there. Add grease back and try again

    Lock up mystery

Probably the crush washer / bearing in jet pump shifted during reassembly and is binding when the pump is tightened to hull.

    Engine Runaway

Choke it out or plug the exhaust. Both kill engine quick. Always pressure test your engine builds to help prevent this from happening.
