actually starts fairly easily with some choke . and runs well , but after awhile, will stall or bogg with agressive throttle. now needs choke open some at all times to run at its best. recently actually did something different , wouldnt go above 5-7 mph for about 5 minutes after ran for an hour...

exactly like the case but 75% less in severity

what about the cover its gouged as well. not quite as bad but can it be used . is it as imperative that its not compromised for running correctly?

luckily just the rotary valve, cover, cases, and sprocket, not all is lost. lol

your way is the right way i presume. my way is the hack way and would prob be fine BUUUT its a big gamble like you said that im not gonna take. thanks i needed the kick in the ass.

if you will , please elaborate. is it an issue with air mix ratios. itll take 5 min to braze and flatten.

i would NEVER put any material other than permanent weld in there myself.

im wondering if i can braze then fill with aluminum brazing ?

see pic. kind of relatively deep . catches fingernail really well. its a concave gouge. would this cause issues?

what about the gouging on the rotary valve cover and case?? from what im reading , new cases are needed. looks like i can get cases and rotary shaft set up fairly inexpensive. anyone here have a good deal?

So rebuild went good except the big f up of reversing hoses. But that wasnt catastrophic. Went to the water and it ran good for 5 min then locked up. Tore it down and the rotary gear was destroyed the gouging as in pic and i found a f ing lock washer in there!!!!

can the block be repaired on this. Im thinking either fill in with weld or turn down ??? cover is just as bad.
