I got my 99 GSX all done tonight, stripped the old graphics with the hair dryer, removed any remaining glue with acetone, gave the bad spots a wet sand with 1000 grit then 1200, then 2000 wet sand everywhere, Meguires 91, then 49, then 45, new graphics from KRP in Texas I believe, half the price of graphics from pwc graphics.com , I cant really compare the quality of the 2 since I’ve never put decals on from pwc graphics.com , I did buy them for my HX but never put them on. I’m happy so far with the graphics from KRP, they are not identical to the OEM ones but close enough that most people wouldn’t know the difference, one thing I would change I think anyways is that the Seadoo logos for the hull come in one piece with yellow background that matches really well but the originals were all seperate black letters, which I prefer but still very happy. I will check my HX kit and see what they did. So far no curling, I’m going to leave the machine out in the sun for 3 or 4 days before taking it on the water. I will post back then, and then again at the end of the season. Then final step was Meguires flagship wax, I’m hoping all this work will keep any stains from appearing. Hard to see the shine in the one picture as it’s overcast so I added a close up to show off the shine 1340ED34-B2BB-4A46-8A5A-A95EF61F0647.png4296C8AB-1A53-4222-93D9-071E192271CB.jpeg

I’m disappointed in myself, looking back at pictures of the old decals and I didn’t position the back GSX one properly, it should have been towards the back of the ski about another 2 to 3 inches and the GSX should have been on an angle, not straight. I guess I was to excited to get it done, and maybe a few too many Corona’s while installing. Lesson learned, next time I’m going to position them on with the backing still on, then screen shot the picture of the of the old decal so I can go back and forth on my phone between old and new decal till I get it right.

I think it looks amazing, great work!.
Nobody is going to notice that rear decal except you.
Thanks Miki, appreciate that, I called KRP though and explained how I screwed up and they said to try and remove them, and put them back on and if it doesn’t work, they are going to send me the 2 pieces that I need at no charge. I’ve called there 3 times now, first for help with installation techniques and now this and each time they are super accommodating, don’t make you feel at all like your a pain or anything. Super Super nice guys.

Sounds like a great company.
Not sure what happened to pwcgraphics, seems to be out of communication?

I won’t make that mistake again, but I will make others for sure, I didn’t hear anything about pwcgraphics .com not being in business. I would think they would have a real good business, KRP had said they sold near 3000 kits last month. Not sure if that was just PWC or not though.

Not saying pwcgraphics is out of business, just saying that I though I read he didn't respond much. I could be wrong.

Now that I think of it, I do recall at least one instance of another member on here saying that he was waiting over a year for some graphics, I believe that was a case of the customer tracing out the old decals and sending them to Mike because he didn’t have for that model already. Anyways, I’ve purchased one set from pwc graphics and was happy with the turn around but I wouldn’t hesitate at all to recommend KRP, especially at half the cost
