I just bought a 2011 seadoo gti se about a week ago. Everything ran fine when I tried it when buying it but I just took it out on my own to have a little more play time on it and it was running great and everything seemed fine. I was then in idle and it seemed like it was missing almost idling and when I gave it a little gas it was like studdering almost. So I Got it on the trailer and started it again and gave it a little gas and everything ran great. Very confused on what happened this is my first seadoo please help.

Yes they will run better on the trailer because the motor is not pushing any water out the back end, more resistance in the water. Buying a used ski is always kind of a crap shoot. Read the owners manual thoroughly and download a service manual particular to your ski if you DIY. The gas could be old, change oil, and new spark plugs would be a good start.

Just to back
up what has already been said... I bought a 2006 GTI with 127 hours. Ran on the trailer but died about 5 minutes on the water under load. Was hard to start after that and had to be towed back. Changed plugs and replaced all gas and now runs up to 50mph easily. Similar situation with my 2013 GTX with only 21 hours. Would only to go to 25mph after purchase. Changed gas and plugs and now runs strong!

I don't understand why these skis are so 'hard on' spark plugs. Typical 4 stroke, 1,500cc motorcycle or car engine would go 10 years on spark plugs (or close).
These things seem to go "through them" like very couple of years with VERY little usage by comparison.
Why??

Don't know...I rode several hours recently with no issues. The very next weekend I could barely get it off the trailer. New plugs fixed it.

I bought a very low hr (67) 2007 3 years ago. Ran like a top for 1.5 years then started to sputter and not reach top end speed. Figured fuel filter or similar but danged if plugs didn't have it running like a champ.
Less than 20 hrs on those plugs. Very very weird......
