Okay it's obvious that the two small oil lines unbolt from the oil pump if they need to be replaced how do they remove from the top side and where would I find these sizes??

The oil line size is 3/32" tygon, I get mine at ACE Hardware, but any small engine shop should have it. The oil lines just slip over the fittings and are held on with metal clamps, remove the clamps and use quality zip ties for replacements.

I'm glad to see you have decided to stay with the oil injection, a wise decision. One other thing you will need to do is change the oil filter in the line from the oil tank to the pump.

Will the small yellow oil lines prime with the bleeder??

No. You need to either manually prime them by putting oil in the lines or add some 2 stroke oil in the carbs, start the ski, and manually hold the oil pump fully open at idle. This will fill the lines in 20 seconds or so.

Can I do this with spark arrester and air box off?

I've never tried on the GTI. Doubtful though, as the oil pump is beneath the carbs for the 717. On a 787 the oil pump is on the mag cover.

When I had my '99 GTI apart, I primed with the flame arrestor and box off so I could see the lines fill. Easier to hold the pump open also.

Yes, you can. If the pump is off the ski, you can prime it on the bench as well. Attach a hose to the pump intake, stick it in a bottle of oil, run the pump w/ a cordless drill in reverse (CCW, I believe) hold the lever full open, till the small hoses fill. Helps to have the oil bottle gravity feed if possible.

I am also able to prime on the starter (plugs out).
