Getting ready to reupholster. Most threads ive seen are people suggesting marine vinyl brands that they havent even used themselves. I will be using white and a metallic silver color. Looking for advice on a good supplier from someone you guys have used! I want something that will last!

I used the marine vinyl from Joann's fabrics, wasn't too expensive and was pretty easy to work with.they had a bunch of colors. I left it out in the sun for a couple hours before using it. Having someone else to help is a must and make sure to get stainless staples. Material feels very durable.

Great thanks! How long ago did you do it? Is the material really flexible? Did you use a heat gun to stretch it?

Jettrim in Lake Havasu, Az !

My '98 SPX in my avatar has a custom Jettrim seat cover with marine grade vinyl that I picked out and stitching that is awesome for a finished look.

Have used them forevever! Alot of patterns & choices of materials to choose from.

Use their website to design your seat and order swatch samples to feel the differences.

You would have to send in your seat though. But the results are outstanding!

IMO...it's the only way to go when recovering your seat...

X2 on jettrim. They make a very nice product. I bought an HX with a jettrim seat and it's very nice.

Did mine in May. It has a good stretch, letting it sit in the sun made it stretch even more. Heat gun helped too, but you gotta keep the heat at a distance . If you decide to DIY, checkout some of the videos on YouTube they were helpfull to me. If you decide to go with Joann's, check their scraps rack, I got the piece for my small seat for 8 bucks.image.jpg

If you want a full custom seat Jet trim or m-line. I prefer a seat without stitching if I can have it that way, I just like the clean look. I did my HX seat in carbon fiber marine vinyl. I did it in the winter in my basement, no heat gun either . I just worked the vinyl. You can check it out more HERE it also has where I bought the material. All sport 4 way stretch material is also very nice stuff. I used the Harbor Freight stapler like the other guys on here use http://www.harborfreight.com/20-gauge-wide-crown-stapler-68029.html You can get stainless staples at Home Depot T-50's

Im redoing the seats in my 97 challenger. Im going to check prices on what yall mentioned and post back when I get a piece done! Thanks for the help!

for a boat,,, most definately seadooupholstery, i've used him, and he's great, has the patterns, just pick your colors and go !

for pwc's what I did was went to a local supplier, called king canvas or something like that, they do marine vinyl and I pick up remnants from them at about 20% of retail, since they mostly do boats, they are happy to sell the 2-3yd remnants for less than retail.

If you could first choice would be Monel staples and second choice would be stainless steel staples.

yes, Monel FTW. Its worth it and 1,000 staples means you'll have Monel's for every staple project for a long time, unless you loan your stapler to your mother, I gave her mine so she could re-do 8 dining room chairs, and she used all of my Monels and ignored the stainless. I went to do my trailer bunks and was aggravated to find all my Monel's gone, back to home depot ! Next time I loan out my stapler for a house project the box of good staples is staying with me.

racer which color is yours from this link: http://www.yourautotrim.com/shcafi.html
