Has anyone had work done by these guys?

http://www.pghwatercraft.com/What-We-Do.html

I was looking at my boat the other day with the carbs in pieces and the new top end kit sitting beside the torn apart engine and i thought "boy it would be nice to pay a couple hundred to have all this put back together and tuned properly"

if anyone has heard anything about them, please post it up here

thanks

I havent heard of them, Doc might since he is from pittsburgh. But I am guessing it will cost a lot more than a couple hundred.

I never had them work on my stuff ;) ... but I've heard good and bad. (mostly good) The one bad thing that stuck in my head was someone that was trying to get them to warranty some work, but "They fired that mechanic because of incompetence" and they wouldn't cover what he did. That's pretty shitty in my book, since he was an employee at the time.

Take that with a grain of salt since it's just something I heard... but it was from the pissed off customer. (there are 2 sides to every story)

Unfortunatly... during the summer it may not get fixed quickly since they are the only independent PWC shop around. Also, if you bring them a basket case, it may take more than a few hundred for them to put it back together.

If you are stuck, and they don't have time. Let me know. I'm going to be pushing a UTV, and a couple bikes out of my shop, and I may have time in the near future to work on it.

My normal biz isn't working on boats... but with this econamy... one week I'm crazy busy... then then next, I've got nothing going on.

You need carbs and a top end on one engine??

PM me if you would like.

I redid my carbs with mikuni kits and just put them back together individually, and have a new SBT top end kit sitting here. I pulled my old top end to ship back to SBT... so basically i have a boat with one engine torn apart, but i have all the pieces for it... i just need to put it all back together and connect the hoses/cables/etc. The part that scares me is if i dont have my carb settings correct and blow the 500 dollar top end because of a stupid mistake (or another little mistake... this is the first time i'm ever attempting engine work)

i also plan on shaving down the RAVEs so they wont make contact with the rings on the new top end (its 1mm bored over so i read that its necessary to shave them)

If I was you, this is where I would be getting work done. Doc really knows his stuff. I wish I had someone like him or snipe living close to me.
