I bought a 2018 GTR 230 from a guy who refused to run anything but 91 octane in it. The ski is immaculate and for the last 1.5 years I have run it with 91. The ski runs awesome and has never given me an issue running 91 except for the dent in my wallet at the fuel pump. Reading the owners manual it says 87 octane is fine for everything except the 300 engine. Presume there are folks who run 87 with no issues, but wouldn't mind the warm fuzzy hearing from experience to say go ahead it wont be an issue. Also if you have run both fuels is there an advantage to 91 either in power, performance or efficiency?
