Hey, I'm new to the forum and the wife and I just bought a 2014 GTX 155. We took it out a couple times around the Patrick AFB area but that's about. Live in the Melbourne area but not sure yet where the good places to ride are.

Hi,

There are many PWC/Jet skiers that ride in the Grant - Sebastian area, as there are many islands to hang out at. The problem is that the boat ramp parking lots in Grant get filled very quickly on weekends (sometimes before 9:00 a.m.).

The ramp with the most parking in Grant is Christensons Landing, when that fills up, just 1/2 mile north is John Jorgenson (much more limited parking spaces).

If both of those are filled, you can launch from Melbourne (Front street ramp / SR 192) or in Sebastian; there is a small ramp with TONS of parking. The ramp is next to Mulligans Beach House restaurant and the parking lot is across the street at 717 Coolidge St Sebastian, FL 32958 27.809791, -80.465175

At the mouth of the Indian River / Sebastian Inlet, there are numerous boaters and PWC'rs that hang out - party - ride - socialize...it's a good time, but plenty of FWC and Sheriff types, so be responsible and mind the speed limits in the manatee zones or you will get stopped.

Location: 27.851393, -80.461144

There are quite a few water front - boat up restaurants nearby, as well. Here are a few I recommend:

There is a SeaDoo dealer in Grant: Route One MotorSports. Willy is the owner and he also owns a cool bar/restaurant named Malabar Mo's (not waterfront, though). They host an annual PWC poker run / fundraiser that's a good time. I think it's in June/July, so keep a look out for that; it will be a good opportunity to meet a lot of fellow PWC'ers.

You may want to look into joining the local riders group, Space Coast Jet Riders

http://www.spacecoastjetriders.com/spacecoastriders/index.php

They host organized rides every month and welcome non - members to ride along and get acquainted.

I go out about twice a month (or more), usually on Saturday or Sunday depending on which day has the best weather. Feel free to PM me to meet up and ride. I've been riding this area for many years. I've ridden Titusville to Ft. Pierce. Hope to expand that to the St. Johns river soon (maybe Bimini island one day...).

If you don't mind riding a little north, Ponce Inlet and Disappearing Island is a great place to boat and ride your PWC.
