ok. the vts on my 96 xp is toast. big surprise right? are there any kits to change this over to manual adjustment? i know the hx had manual trim but i'm not sure if its plug and play. im sure someone else has had the same thought so i greatly appreciate any info. thanks folkss, brandon

HX has a unique knob assembly for the manual trim adjustment. But it simply attaches to the top right bolt for the pump mount. Sorry for the REALLY bad camera phone photo of the adjuster (there isn't a lot to it anyway).

Click to enlarge - comparison of HX nozzle to GSX VTS nozzle.

If you were to retrofit the HX adjuster, you have to keep these things in mind:
1. Blocking off the original VTS hole through the hull (where the rubber boot is)
2. Is the bolt to the venturi/pump housing mount long enough with the HX adjuster added (about another 1 inch I think)
3. Alignment of the HX adjuster to the XP/GSX trim ring
The HX tab is closer to the 1 o'clock position while the GSX trim ring tab is around 2 o'clock. Some improvisation may be needed.
4. Range of adjustment may be different since the trim tab may be slightly forward or rear of the HX location.

Hope this helps in your quest.
