Hi guys,

I just purchased my first pwc. It is 2002 seadoo twin engine 15'sportster. On a recent outting, I managed to suck the wakeboarding rope into the intake of, yes, both engines. After a short tow back to the ramp, I was able to get under the boat and cut the rope of the impeller/driveshaft. On our next outting, the boat barely managed 10mph with rpm around 4000. Can anyone please advise as to what might be happening. Thanks.

Welcome to the seadoo forum jand305. It is possible the the line in the jet pump damaged the 'wear ring" that is around the impeller. To check it look at the clearance from the rear of the jet pump... It should be less that ".040"...or not much wider than a sheet of paper.. If it looks like it is gouged or the impeller is damaged it is the problem. The part is replaceable by you if your any kind of mechanically inclined. You can purchase the part from our parts link...at the top of the page "Parts"... Let us know what you find when you check out the jet pump. We're here to help.
