my fuel gage stop working this morning, its shows empty and the light stays on, gaz thank is full, i played with the wires a bit but nothing, is there something i should check for? any fuse on that? thanks
It is almost always the fuel baffle and not the gauge. Pull the fuel baffle out of the gas tank. Disconnect the wires coming out of the baffle and check for resistance with a meter while tipping the baffle back and forth. The ohms should change while up and down. If nothing, you've got a bad circuit board or the magnets are dirty or missing. There is a float inside the baffle that has magnets on it thats gives the circuit board readings on where the float is and then telling your gauge. Sometimes these magnets get dirty or fall in the bottom of the tank. Try cleaning them and if there missing then try and get them out of tank. I just replaced mine a week ago and the gauge worked like a champ. hope that helps
