So everyone knows I had to rewire all my wiring and it actually worked out better than any previous trip to the water after spending several hours of figuring out what was running to where. (Oh and those connectors from previous thread with the end caps that were behind my multi battery switch was actually fuses not end caps that was on wires that was running to my electric switches bilge pump, horn, fan, etc. Odd place for that I would think but not surprising sith whatever tool hooked this up previously. I had no battery issues at all. Only thing was all my gauges wasnt working (mph, rpm, fuel) They worked fine last year so obviously something wasnt connected right or a fuse is blown. Ive been all up in my boat wiring wise which was a pain in the arse early Saturday before heading out but I now know my boat wiring wise better than most. Anyone that may know of which wires I should look for of how they should be ran? After spending so much time on all this wiring I feel like I know pretty much which wires are which and where they are running to. At the bottom of my engine block that sits on hull I noticed a small seep of gas that trickled down at times. My buddy that went out said it looked like a minor gas leak. Maybe something just needs to be snugged down or tightened up

Im sure Im not alone but for my truely first experience fixing something marine wise it ended up being a success. Few more bugs to work out but Im making progress. Thanks everyone for the help last week

We have a 2001 Challenger 2000. Yours probably has a slightly different engine, but if you need for me to check on any specifics as to how it would transfer to your boat, let me know.

Just where the wires need to be connected that go to my mph, rpm, fuel gauges and the location to fuses that correspond to each. Probably the same

I will be by my boat this afternoon. Want me to get photos? I haven't had to dig in to our Challenger much. Would the area in question be up by the gauges?

Honestly I have no idea. I would imagine that the wires run to fuse box located in front of cpt seat storage then wires would run from there back to get power. That's just my two sense but Idk

The fuse block is located under the storage bucket on the Captains side (starboard) The fuse block has a lable next to it describing the purpose of each fuse and size. Check your fuses first, that's the easy stuff.

Good luck!

Already checked those. Don't recall any that says mph rpm or fuel gauge but maybe there was. Regardless they all were good. Has to be something fairly easy. They just worked last season and now all 3 gauges don't budge. Something is not connected somewhere. Just needing to know where the wires that supply those fuses power. I would think some wires run back to engine to give power.

Unless you have bypassed the fuse block, every circuit in the boat goes through it. So the main line would be fine, or you would be losing more than just your gauges. Interesting issue for sure.
