I`ve been using Hess or Shell gas in the boat since we have been down south, mostly Shell with Amsoil @ 40:1
I was very surprised to see this residue in the hoses I took off in swapping out filters.

looking insiude the Racor`s, there is no yellow residue at all in the metal parts, so far I see it clings to inside the expensive A1 USCG hose... wth

Don't know.

Originally I was going to say it was mud, and mildew... then I read it was you fuel lines.

Can you cut open a fuel filter to see if it's in there too?

will do, I`ll see if I can tear into this metal oil filter type fuel filter can later on...

from what I can see, it does not stick to metal surfaces, there was nothing on the inside of the fuel cannister body or bowl. so far just in the rubber lines. even the blue poly lines down at the carbs are clear... weird huh...

It's could a special lining they put inside to help get the burn time, cut a section of new hose and see what it looks like. Almost makes me start wondering if that crap is breaking down and cheesed up your carbs????????

yes the hose is lined, and the yellow powdery stuff just comes right off the lining, the lining is still in good shape and not deteriorating... thank goodness... but ya made me look anyways!...lol...
