WTF...Idle carb...

Sportster 1800...98....I can no longer adjust the idle on my carb...no matter how much I try to loosen or tighten no rpm surge....just stays the same....plus it is not idling correct....in the water it is around 700, out the water just a little lower....

Are you sure you are adjusting the correct screw, part no. 59? If you are maybe the screw is stripped out. Also something's not right your idle should be higher out of the water, not lower.

Thanks for reply louDoo...but yea all is good...the crew is adjusting the lever I see it going up and down...yea I agree with you rpms are very low...the right motor carb and rpms are great....but that left side is killing me...when I go to take off it dies around 3500 rpms and is so hard to start in water...I just had that motor rebuilt other one is from sbt...but I had this problem before the rebuild...so I rebuilt the carb and needle and seat...but same problem remains..fuel filters and miner things all been changed....I'm just lost...
