Well here it is a year later and I finally got to test out these 2 mods (it's been a terrible spring/summer up here in the NW).
Jet Dynamics top loader intake and R&D trim tabs are my first and only mods. Applied them to my 96 XP last September and waited till yesterday to get out on em.

Just wanted to say the trim tabs really seem to smooth the boat out a lot. On simi-choppy water it rides soooo much better now. Which means I can keep faster speeds in the chop and still get a smooth feeling ride. They might also help out when jumping the boat?

The jet Dynamics intake was so old I really didn't know what to expect (they made these for the 91 or 92 XP's I believe). Well, it fits my ski perfect and seems to do a fine job. I really wasn't sure what to think until I hit a LARGE boat wake and HOLY MUTHA, my ski launched some 6ft up in the air. I about crapped my pants knowing that whole time landing from this crazy height was gunna hurt me. Fortunately it didn't hurt at all, the ski came down tail first and I believe that top loader did it's job so fast it had me speeding away from the largest jump I've ever done with seemingly zero landing impact. Maybe I got lucky? I was stunned to say the least.
Later on I noticed when hitting even small boat wake the top loader seems to turn even little wake into good 2ft air born jumps. I like that

So the combination of top loader intake and trim tabs seems to make this ski a much better ride. I give them 2 thumbs up!

Now if I could just manage to dial in my carbs, this boat would be off the hook!
