WTB 98 speedster back rest

Just got home from deployment and found someone stole odds and ends off my speedster. I have all the parts on the way but the one seat back. If anyone has any leads on where I can find one that would be appreciated. Color does not matter I'm recovering all of them.

That really sucks to hear. They are tough to find. I think you would have better luck just getting a decent upholstery shop to make one using one of the others as a template.

Extremely hard to find. I just purchased a project boat and it was missing one seat and I also had one fly out on the interstate bringing it home. I was on the forums, ebay, and Craigslist everyday not to many people parting these out either. What I can share on my journey is Seadoo is using the bottom cushion foam in a newer boat updated part # 204611641 it is yellow and would need to be recovered, but any options are good ones when it comes to the availability of the boats. Well after not finding anything I decided to make a mold. I'm 90% done with it. Spent a few hours on the phone with different companies about foam and have found one that seems promising. I should be able to turn out a few in the next couple weeks. I will sell them for cost to people only on this forum. I will update everyone as soon as I get one out of the mold

Thats sounds great...i know you could sell a few for sure. Seems like at least a couple people a year pop up looking for them. Im excited to see how it turns out.

Just my two cents....if its a back rest, why bother molding it? Just cut some foam to shape around the edges, make a nice cover for it, and adhere the foam to the shell of the seat. The seat back will give it it's shape once installed. Would that not work?
