Water intrusion could be coming from the driveshaft area - most likely place if just sitting there.

Jpx if the water is at your feet on a boat and it is coming from drive shaft then the engine would have to be 100 percent under the water as engine is lower than your feat. he is close on the part number he needs. But it should be part number 35 scupper valve not part number 25. They have a new type scuper valve that has a ping pong type ball valve that works beter and it can be found at any of the boat stores that advertise on here like west marine or boaters world for about $10.00.
