Would This Work For Towing Behind My Tritoon?

So am I crazy? Would this PWC lift support my Seadoo and allow me to tow it behind my tritoon? "Dandy Dock" seems to be the mainstream floating PWC dock, but I coudn't get their pics to post. It would elimiate any need to pinch hoses etc . Am I missing something?

Ive never seen one on a pontoon, but here in KY I have seen several attached to big house boats. They seem to work fine while out on the water. Lets see some pics of the tri toon.

I would think that the front edge would dip under water and that would make it harder to tow.

How far & fast are you towing the ski?
Usually under 10-15 mph there is no need to pinch off the lines while towing.

Why would you need to pinch lines while towing? What lines would you pinch?

If you do not pinch the correct line the water will/can be forced from the grate/intake area into the exhaust and then into your engine cylinders.

Water in cylinders is NOT desirable...

I would not tow very fast. I am fearful of damaging my Seadoo due to my own ignorance on "pinching" hoses etc? I thought by using one of these things I would reduce my worry since I have no idea which hose to pinch.

Do many on here tow without pinching hoses?

I'm with SDB on this one, those floats are made for stationary docking, I think it would have a tendency to nose under if towing. Just pinch off the inlet line from the pump to the motor and tow the ski, you'll need a fairly long rope, 30-40', to keep the ski out of the wake of the boat. I tow mine all the time.

Again...apologies for my ignorance....

What do you use to pinch off a hose? Pics are great for dummies like me?

As far as what to use, search here at the site or google "hose pinch pliers."

Plenty of options out there.
