won't start in water

I have a 96 GTX sea doo. I can start it out of the water but the minute I put it in the water it dies. Any ideas on what this may be. Any input is appreciated!!!!!

It should idle very high out of the water so that when you put it in the water it will still run. This may not be your problem but does it idle high out of the water? :cheers:
