Wobble after rebuild.

I have a 1997 GTI and just replaced one of the pistons and rings. I had a blown ring and damaged piston, but NO problem with the cylinder wall. I replaced the piston & ring and have 135 PSI on each of the two cylinders. I only had to remove the one cylinder to get to the piston. Nothing done to bottom end. I also rebuilt my carb.

Bottom line - it now seems to run great but above 24 MPH it has a slight wobble which gets worse the faster I go. When testing the engine I noticed that a washer on a bolt holding the engine to the motor mount was vibrating freely. I tightened it 1-2 turns to secure it. Would that slight adjustment make the difference on engine alighnment (It may have been less than that number of turns, but wasn't more that that)?

I saw no damage to the cylinder walls even though my dayghter ran the ski back to my pier with the blown ring. So I don't think the crankshaft is damaged or out of round and prior to the blown ring the ski ran the best it ever had!

Again, I did nothing to the bottom end and did not have to remove anything except the tuned pipe which I put back on fine.

Help.
