i have a 93 xp, The Stop button and the emergency plug is not functioning on my seadoo. I recently replaced the electrical box and im not 100% sure if i hooked up the wires the right way. I believe i did but again since these are not working im sure i did something wrong, i looked at the schematics but im not sure of the wire color schemes, can someone give me some more information on this.

Also is there a way to add a reverse to this seadoo, something aftermarket to make it easier to back it off the trailer.

Thanks

Reverse gate....

I don't think you can add a reverse gate to your doo.........or, I haven't heard of that being done yet. If you found a complete doo in the junkyard somewhere that was equipped with it, you might be able to rob it. But you'd have to have an idea of the lay-out.......
Your electrical switches on your 93 should be simple closed/open circuit type switches. Which means, it really shouldn't matter which wire goes where as long as your using the correct two wires for that switch.
If your familar with a multi purpose meter, you can set it for continuity and check the switches..........
I'm at work right now and can't get to the wiring diagrams at the moment. When I get off, I'll have a look and see if I can follow you. I'll re-post.

its not the end where the switches are but the other end in the electrical box where im talking about, the switches are good, its just where its hooked up to and if i have it hooked up right inside of the electrical box i was concerned about

On page 07-01-06 in the manual has the diagram of the wiring to the electrical box. The black/ yellow wire goes to the switches in series. It goes to the tether cord switch normally open, than to the stop switch normally closed and than to the black wire that goes to ground. The black/white from the starter button also connects to the black yellow wire coming out of the electrical box and the switch is normally open. I hope this helps you check the wiring. If you still have questions give me a shout.

I didn't see any connections inside the electricial box....

thanks, ill check the color coded wires tomorrow. Wanna hear a funny story? This is my first jetski, so i finally get it running, take it out, the guy that sold it to me forgot to mention that the plug was in the front compartment so it sunk, talk about being cold, wow!!! im in the north by the pa-wv-oh border, i think i got a little shock going on today when i went down, but i think the jetski is ok though, thank god.

Being as you a premium member you can download a "Operators Manual" just for giggles, and give you a good idea of how things work. If you have any questions that I can help you with give me a shout. This is a friendly forum with lots of active members eager to help. The only dumb question is the one you didn't ask...:)
