Looking to pick up a Rebuilt 717 without the sending the core..
drivers side for a 1999 sportster. In the mean time I need to Winterizing the motor that won't start?

It turns over but won't fire..how can I do this..?

Thanks again,
Shaun

I THINK you can simply pull the spark plugs and spray fogging oil into the cylinders. Then turn it over a few times. You will still need to fill the lines with antifreeze of course but do not need to start the engine for that.

Turning over and not firing will still suck some oil into the crankcase. Your better with a little than none at all.
