I recently winterized my jet ski's. I live in new york so it gets a little cold. I have a five gallion jug that was part of a winterizing boat kit. I filled the jug with marine grade anti-freeze . I placed the jug on a step ladder about six feet high above machine. I run all the antifreeze through the machine through the flush port whilel fogging. I feel that there will be no water left in the machine to freeze. I put a bucket at the rear to catch the antifreeze. It might help some with winterizing.:)

nice tip !!
big boats with inboards and out boards use this set up
but they have water pump impellers to draw anti freeze in
skis do not, hence your six foot ladder, good thinking.
and yes this will replace any and all water in your system.
i have made the same set up , but with a small fluid pump attached
i hook this rig up to the skis battery and winterize as normal
just remember to stop the flow before shutting engine off

video...

There was a cool video on here last year where a guy had one of those small kiddie pools that he put in a gallon of antifreeze and added water, to cut about a 50/50 mix.

He placed that kiddie pool under the engines pump and exhaust and tood a bilge pump, hooked a hose up to it and ran it to the flush port. Then, stated the motor and turned on the bilge pump. It was so cool.

The vid was only a minute or so long but I noticed this fall, the link no longer worked, so I deleted the post.......you should have seen it though, it was so cool. No mess, no fuss. Everything was in the kiddie pool......

It was subject lined as "winterize done easy"..........
