I was wondering when I blow air through the flush port to winterized if the engine should be running or if there is anything I have to do extra or just use the air it is supposed to get below zero here the next few days and want to get this done. Thanks.

I would probably have the engine running while blowing the water out. Basically you are forcing pressurized water (blown by the air) through the engine, and that is almost the same as hooking up the hose and turning it on. Without the engine running water could be forced into a cylinder, although it probably would not be much. I would just get everything hooked up and ready to go, get a friend to help if possible, and do it quickly to minimize engine running time. I am not an expert with this procedure so maybe someone else with more experience here will chime in....

I give mine a big drink of RV antifreeze with the engine running, but pull bottom hose off intercooler first and drain fresh water out so antifreeze dose not dilute. You never know were that water can hide. Its cheap and a good piece of mind here in Canada.

Hey Guys,
Where do I find the flush port on the 180SP??? It's not my boat, so I'm not familiar with it... Trying to help out a neighbor before freezing weather hits. Oh, and do I need to pull the bottom hose off the intercooler and drain it, if I'm going to blow compressed air through the system????
Thanks in advance,
Bill
