I have done all the steps listed in the shop manual in regards to cold weather storage preparation. This includes installing the hose pincher on the engine drain hose, using a funnel and short piece of hose on the water intake of the block and pouring in antifreeze. I have also greased the pto, changed the pump oil and o-ring, and fogged the motor.

My question is this: Nowhere in the manual, or the forums I searched, does the subject of water remaining in the exhaust and muffler come up, is there a procedure for winterizing the exhaust system or does it just not hold any water without pump pressure?

Thank you,

If you have done what is said in the manual, when you un pinch the lines the extra anti freeze will flow into the exhaust and mix with the remaining water, but not back flow into the engine from not being running. It should be fine, as the exhaust is the lowest point and the anti freeze will protect it.
