Hi,
I have inherited my sisters Challenger with the 250 Opti. I don't have the manuals and this is the first year I have had to winterize it. I winterize all my boats myself and am hoping I can do the Challenger too.
Here is some of the steps I have heard so far:
- The Opti drains automatically when the engine turned off so there is no need for anti- freeze
- but was told to pour anti-freeze down the hose flushing inlet
- You should not fog the Opti's, but heard when winterizing get a new fuel filter put a small amount of DFI oil in and run the engine for a couple minutes
Is there anything that I should be doing for the pump such as change the gear oil?
Are these steps right, is there more things that I should be doing or things that I shouldn't be doing?
Thanks!!.
Peter
