Will a mooring cover made for a 2004 Utopia 185 fit a 2001 Utopia 185?

I have a 2001 Utopia 185 M2 210 carb. I'm looking for a new mooring/trailering cover, I want one made from Sunbrella fabric (my last cover shredded from the sun in less than 3 seasons). I've found an OEM made-to-fit cover by Great Lakes, via RNR Marine, but, they say it's for the 2004/2004 model year only. Is there a big difference in the hull design, windshield (that which would be covered by the mooring cover), etc. between the 2001 and the 2004 Utopia 185?

Sorry about the cross-posts.

Thanks,

Jim

There was a few changes with that boat. But I don't know why it wouldn't fit. UNLESS... one is designed to have the Bimini top above the deck lid... and the other is designed to have it stowed away.

I would ask the manufacture why.

****EDIT****

I just looked at Poppy's cover chart... and she says that her cover will fit all the years of the 185. Personally... I always recommend covers from Poppy. The owner takes very good care of the members here, whenever there is an issue.

Dr. Honda, thank you for the quick response. I appreciate your advice. I'll try to contact them again. I found the covers on Poppy's too. The fabric that their covers are made from is called Sur Last. I did a search to compare Sunbrella with Sur Last and found this page: <<http://www.ebay.com/gds/SUNBRELLA-FABRIC-Myths-vs-Facts-/10000000000015509/g.html>>. So, given my last experience with a short-lived cover, I want to try to get one made from Sunbrella
