Who uses a ring compressor on rebuilds?

Just curious who uses them, & what you have. By design of the sleeves, I have always found it pretty easy to manually pinch the rings in place & slide the pistons into the cylinders on a 2 stoke. I just stumbled onto these "clamps" being sold on ebay. While it seems to do the same thing, it would be nice to use something universal like this to make sure the gaps stay centered on the locating pins. This seller has a video that should their should be no interference, but like any video, a person can edit, or take as many shots as they want to get it right.

Any thoughts or input?

They do look like thats the cats A$$, but I Always manually pinch the rings (only did 3 engines).

I use them. I have the style that is fairly tall and you ratchet it close around the piston. Then just side it into the jug.

Got any picts coastie? I have a few different ratcheting band clamp styles I use on top loaded 4-strokes, but they obviously wouldn't work on a two stoke.

The fact the video above doesn't show the whole process of how easily they clamp & position, makes me think they are not super easy too use. I don't mind paying a little more for something that works, but am not going to buy all the individual ring sizes like BRP makes.
