Where to launch in Galveston

Just curious but I have a vaction coming up and I was thinking about driving down to Galveston to do some waverunning in the Gulf. Where can you launch? Do you have to launch on the Canal side and drive around to the Gulf? Anyone go there often?

check out the bay area pwc association website, they launch from a few places near galveston for their rides. you might also be able to find someone to ride with if you email them. www.bapwa.com

You can launch in Texas City at the Dike as well. Weekdays ( mon - thurs ) it's free, weekends ( fri - sun ) it's $5 to enter. Unless you or someone you know lives here and has a Dike sticker. There are several ramps along the dike.
