where to get a seadoo tach, or another brand?

my tach isn't working on my 93' xp and i think its out, i've been looking and there is one on ebay from a 93 xp for $40, and tiny tach makes a digital one with a hour meter for $36 but it would be a challenge to fins a place to mount it, who sells them or what other brand makes ones that are similar, i don't want to spend a ton on money, or it there a way to test mine to see if its the tach itself?? any ideas would be great
