I just picked up a 06 sportster 215hp privately and I cannot find where to attach a hose to flush it out or even so I can start it at home. The manual shows a pic in the rear by the jet but there is nothing. I do seee a plastic screw in type plug on Top of the impeelor housing. Is this where it is suppose to be and no one has put a kit there yet? If it is and I take the plug out, because it is on top you cannot attach a hose there because of the tight area. Would I have to buy a 90 degree elbow to put there. It's strange the Bombardier ( doesn't surprise me) does not have a kit already installed. I did check the engine bay and nothing also.
Please help.

I just removed the plug I mentioned on top of the housing but the threads are different than a hose and so the hose will not screw on, am I suppose to buy a flush kit??

Do they come with none on some?

I believe you found it. I have a 2008 150 speedster (same as sportster pretty much) and the flushing connection should be in the same place. It is a hole with threads on the inside. The hose fits inside this hole and screws in. Yes, it is very difficult to get a hose in there and then spin the hose to connect it. It is the correct size, it just doenst seem like it b/c its so hard to get to, especially with the reverse gate in the way. Something that helps me is putting it in reverse to drop the gate.

I put a flush kit on mine since I found it near impossible to put a hose on it. You dont have to buy the ridiculously expensive seadoo kit. Any garden hose quick release kit will work, which is what I am using. You can find one at probably store that has a garden department like walmart or ace hardware or lowes or home depot. I already had one laying around the house, but they probably run 5 to 10 dollars max.

See this thread just started by me w/ pics of the adapter fitting. Lowes for about $8. Buy the metal one and NOT the plastic ones.

It's on the left had side of the jet pump behind the HUD area... It's a pipe sticking straight out with some thread inside. I made my own pipe by just buying the parts from b&q or your Home Depot. I made it for £1 as I had some hosepipe already but you don't need the hose.

At e back to the right there is a hole...place your finger in it and you'l feel the threads...at that place screw a PVC quick connect hose(female) (Home Depot) that part must accept a quick connect bit (male)...this bit must screw on your garden hose when you
I had tried bronze one but the PVC one is better for to install the hose and most important thing for to take it off.
