where is a good place to look to find a cheap ski to fix up for the winter? I dont mind having to rebuild the engine.

Look in Craigslist for your area....

...send a message to 99spxxx.....(in Texas,) he has lots of parts and maybe whole skis for ya.

:agree: Like anything else on Craigs List, buyer beware. I picked up a ski a couple of months ago on Craigs List, for $ 850.00 turned out to be a great deal, it's the one on my avatar.

I was going to be my winter project, problem is it's already done. My wife came to my rescue, she said not to worry that she has lots of winter projects around the house for me, lucky me.

If you where closer I'd say come buy my stuff. I got a runner and a project I need gon ASAP. Lots of people in my shoes needed to get out of toys from downsizing. X2 on craigslist. Or take a road trip to socal =)

Im familiar with the GTX... what about some of those other models ie. SP and so on? I noticed that that some of them are smaller, Can they handle what can come up on a bigger lake? I prefer the GTX size, which has worked out well on Lake Livingston.I watched this big guy riding around on one that looked like it was made for a kid and it looked like it was going to sink when he came to a stop.
