2000 challenger 2000 with mercury m2 240efi. I am looking to replace all my sensors and possibly injectors. Where do I go to find these parts? Also...what is this sensor?

Looks like port side cylinder head temp sensor.

Injectors? Merc lists them for $750/set. Serviced for $120/set + shipping. Some parts prices will scare your pants off. Throttle position sensor $550. About 5 times more expensive than Mercedes. Ebay can be a lifesaver, but some sellers are listing parts at 75% of new. For 20 year old parts.

New parts can be ordered thru any local Merc dealer. Or online Merc dealers. Google it.

Thanks Tim. Yes, I have seen these prices. The only thing I was unclear about with the injectors I saw for $700+ was if it was a set or each. Still rediculous, but each would've been crazy. I have done a lot of Google in the last couple weeks. After reading every forum I could find similar to my problems I am really leaning towards a sensor problem. Everything was fine after I had my engine remanufactured for the first 90 minutes of break in procedure. On day two of break in I had a voltage regulator go out and blew fuses and stranded me on the water. I replaced them and that is when the hard start began to occur. I am leaning towards the possibility that when my voltage regulator went out that possibly a sensor was affected or maybe even coincidence. I saw a new port side temp sensor I just ordered on ebay for $60. It had a factory sticker on it which stated temp sensor Guage and fuel management. If it were bad would it not cause a hard start and possibly fouled plugs? I almost bought new TPS also, but holding off for now. I need to call Blackbird Industries where the powerhead was remanufactured and see if that by chance included the injectors since they are in the motor and all gaskets were also replaced. I almost have a new boat here, but still hesitant on how long I will keep it after I do get it to run because of the price of parts and rarity. I hate to admit it but I caught myself in the position of buying a blown boat for the first time and if I disnt fix it then I'd be all the way out. As of now I have close to $17k in this boat and have driven it for about two hours. I am a paycheck to paycheck man with a family, but its hard to just let it go at this point.

What is the injectors part?
is it the 18175t1 or is it 840481t01? I have the 2003 240efi in my utopia. Mechanic just said needs new injectors

Please clarify- is your engine year 2000 or 2003? Makes a huge difference.

Without having tested the injectors on a flow bench, how does your mechanic know that it needs injectors.

Without serial number, I am in the dark. But- it looks like pn

840481T01 price $330 EACH. Not certain about each or set. Parts list shows price and need 6.

18715T price $600 set. Listed as needs 1 (not 6).

As I said, worth service at $20 each.
A lot of "mechanics" are bs artists and don't really know.

These prices are from BAMmarine.com. Really need serial number to order any part.

You really need to check your tps. Many, many threads here about it. You need a volt meter and test jumpers. Takes about 15 minutes and 2 people.
