Wat do you all do after a day in the water and you bring the Sea-Doo back home?

I have been told by some to just park it on the trailer w/ drain plug open (as I park mine in a garage) and others advise to open it up to air out - take off the seat cover, open the hood, etc....

Also, what are your thought on the battery trickle chargers and how often to use them?

Thanks.

If your running in fresh water, I would spray everything with WD-40 just to protect everything under the hood. Leave the hood open to prevent moisture from forming on everything. You could use a tricle charger if you wanted to, if you not gonna use it for a couple weeks.

Yes I am running it in fresh water (Well, if you want to call Lake Erie "Fresh" water)

So you are saying to spray the engine down with WD-40? Is this after each use or only once?

Also, should I keep the hood (You are referring to the seat cover over the engine, correct?) off when not in use or only for a day or two and then put it back on?

Thanks.

I would leave the seat/ cover/ hood, open even a little to vent it, when you don't use it to keep temperature change from causing condensation on the engine. I spray wd-40 after every ride to protect it from the effects of condensation/ corrosion.

OK, thank you for clarifying.

I only run mine in fresh water but I will get it home take everything out and hose it off (storage compartment, inside the hull, outside of the ski, trailer) fire the ski up one more time for about 15-30 secs, blimp the throttle here and there and shut it down.

Drain all the water out of the hull and vacuum up the rest and then spray it down with wd40 like Karl said. Then I leave the hood open and seat off, drain plug open for two days. Put it all back together and its ready to go the next time I want to use it.

Reason I wash out the inside of the hull is to tell new leaks if any for the next time I use it. After last weeks use I see that the nose cone on the pump is leaking. Need to address this before this weekend but thats an easy fix.

Hope that helps
