Newbie here.....

I live in Oregon and as you may not already know we only get about 3-4 months of good riding weather. I currently do not own a seadoo, but have enjoyed using family and friends who do own one. I would like to buy my own and was wondering if it is cheaper to buy a seadoo in the winter rather than the summer? Is the price cheaper? Do the new models come out before summer starts? Is buying a seadoo like buying a car? Is there room for negotiation?

Sorry for all the questions.

If you are looking for the cheapest way to get a great ride, buy used. The value of a jet ski drops faster than most cars. Plus with gas prices and the general cost of living, lots of individuals and dealers are trying to dump their jet skis. Now keep in mind this is what I'm seeing in my region. Portland may be completely different. A few months ago I purchased two slightly used seedoo's for about the same price as a new one. I would also recommend getting a Seadoo with a 4tec engine. These engines require less maintenance, are usually more fuel efficient which means less cost for you, and generate less emmissions.

That's my two cents!
