Just bought a 1996 xp with a 787, with trailer for 1350

previous owner rebuilt the carbs
replaced grey fuel lines
had the exhaust pipe welded in those 2 spots (I am new to all this forgive me for the description)
started installing blacktip seat cover

So far i have:
taken off the handlebar cover
relocated the alarm speaker
removed xp graphics
Upholstered the seat with the new cover
(nothing real major.... yet)

Heres a picture when i first got it

He said i should go somewhere to have the carbs adjusted and treat this thing like a speed boat. I know this thing is fast, fun, and light which why i looked hard and drove 2 hrs to get it. How much would it cost to have the carbs adjusted? Could i do it myself? I want this thing to be reliable. Thanks for any help in advance.

Nice looking ski. There is a very good thread in the 2-stroke PWC area talking about adjusting carbs. You could give it a try. The 787 is a very good engine. Reliable and performs well. The 96XP's are a favorite of many.

Yea i was looking into that sticky. I have a friend who works at a boat shop, i asked him about it and he said he could take a look at it soon.
