What's the top hp you can get out of 800/787 engine ?
With 2 new carb , race filters , bore 0.50 , pro x pistons
Msd ignition , coffman pipe .

What's the best why to know the HP ?

I am trying to make report for here so I can help others
To know what you get and what's the best for tuning there 800/787
Motor .

Coffman pipes kind of suc. If you go with a Factory pipe... you will get more HP out of it.

Also... what are the "New Carbs?"

Going a little over-sized on the pistons doesn't normally net you more HP. Also, the MSD ignition in itself, doesn't get you more HP, but it will better support higher compression, and higher than stock RPM's.

I have new original Seadoo carbs
With air filters , coffman pipes they say
It's give on standard engine 140 Hp

I read many reviews both coffman &
Factory pipes are almost the same ,
I just order 2 new factory pipes new
Oldstock from ebay they are on there way

So what's you recommend from your experience
Thangs can get more hp

I am trying to reach 300hp to 320 hp
With twin 800 , I mean each engine 150 to 160 hp

Cheers

To get up to those HP levels... you will need to have the new OEM carbs true bored to 40mm. Also, you will probably need a little work on the port timing, raise the compression, and you will need to run a few hundred RPM higher. Also, you will have to really fine tune the water injection so you don't melt anything.

150 isn't a hard target with an 800 engine... but it's not going to live very long if you are running full throttle all the time. You are basically building a race engine, and it's life will be in "Times out on the water" instead of "Seasons."

If you want to build a reliable engine... then tru-bore the carbs, run the stock air box, and bolt on a Factory pipe, and be happy with 130 ~135 hp.

Thanks for the advise. I do want to make my boat faster, but it is still only for recreational use, so I am quite happy with what I have now. It has cost me enough! I don't want to mess with the timing and carbs and pistons again.

Rev limiter still kicks in at 7200-ish. Won't go faster even with 300 hp. Might get to top speed quicker, but won't have a higher top mph.

not without swapping out the impeller, or upping your rpms.
