Hey guys,
I just picked up another 96 XP. this one has been modded some...which leads me to believe they were enthusuiasts...and probably knew what they were doing.
She has the block off plate and is now pre-mix only...vortex arrestors, r&d head, and a primer kit with the pet cock and stock filter by-passed...and an inline filter installed.

Sooo...is this motor still as relieable as a "factory-injection-still-in-place" motor?

he said he has had her 3 summers with no troubles other than the usuall...trim keeps going out, and of course, he had to change the gas lines.

So...is this one a keeper, or should i send her on down the road....

(side note) I really wanted the double trailer but he wanted me to take the XP as a package deal.

If its set up as premix, thats fine, i'd rud 40:1. Thats what these are stock at wot. The primer kit does nothing for an oil ratio. Check the compression and verify its good and that will tell you more if its worth keeping. So far, it sounds like it is. Very nice, quick ski's.
