I am new to the forum but was interested in buying a 1996 sea doo speedster with a hydrolocked motor (was also burning its spark plug tips off) for 2000.00. The hydrolocked motor is so bad its insides are rusted and will not turn over. The other engine is supposedy good. Any thoughts on what its worth and what I should look at or in the other motor. your thougts please Ed B Olympia, Wa

If one engine is full of water... and was left to rot... then that kind of person would also have done minimum maintenance. So... we have to assume the other engine is just about dead too.
If you can do your own work... 720 engines are about $900 each for rebuilds. That boat, in SUPER CLEAN, and running condition is worth $4k. So... I'd say it's worth $1500.
If it's ugly, and needs love... then it's worth less.
