Hello, I have not had a chance to do much with my 03 sportster except a starter change.

I was wondering what you guys would take in your toolbox if you where heading out of town with your boat?

I'm OK with my trailer parts but I would like to make a small bag of tools/parts to Carry in the boat with us.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, We are leaving Maryland for Ocracoke NC the end of this week.

I'd go with a 1/4" metric and standard ratchet set plus a few choice metric and standard wrenches. Add in a spark plug wrench, needle nose pliers, an adjustable wrench, a small pair of vice grips and a couple sizes of philips and regular screw drivers. Throw in an assortment of fuses, too.

Hopefully you won't need any of it. Have fun in Ocracoke...cool place. You might see some Hurricane Bertha swell by this weekend.

Hex keys (for air box), Spark plug socket and ratchet, screwdrivers.

EDIT : And after reading about sucking up rope into the impeller, I guess a razor blade or sharp knife would make good sense as well. :P

I would of defanatly forgot to put in fuses and a rasor/Knife...

Ok - Dumb question but I keep my boat at my in laws house... What type of fuses does it take? - I assume they are in the black box behind the seats in the engine compartment. (sportster LE) I have not opened it up yet...
