I think I'm ready to pull the trigger on a GTX 260 Limited iS. I've been doing my research and keeping an eye out. I'm just wondering what I should expect to pay as far as freight and prep fees. I've seen some dealers mark as high as $2000 EACH (so 4K on top of the ski price), and I literally laughed out loud as I saw that, drawing the attention of a salesmen who said "people almost never pay those, don't worry about them."

Juts wondering what I should be looking at? Is this all just dealer BS trying to get more money out of you, or is it reasonable to have about $500 worth tacked on?

I called a dealer in Texas that had a great price on one and I basically bluntly asked them what the price of the ski would be with everything tacked on before TTL. Had to ask about 3 times cause they tried to skirt the question but they finally answered me straight and it was a bit over $500 tacked onto the price of the ski. That was the lowest I had seen and it was reasonable to me considering the ski itself was priced about $4K below MSRP.

Thoughts? Thanks!

I have seen it go from $500 to $895. Seems the larger and more technical the ski, the higher the amount. Some will "give" a bit on their price, others will not move at all. You can always walk away and and see if they will call you back with a counter offer.
