Hi guys i have a double shorlander trailer with walk through and nice leaf springs. I want to trade it for a single plus CASH... because i do not need the extra bunk...
Do you know what a trade would bring?

200-300
400-500
500+

That really depends on the material the trailer is made of. Is it galvanized, painted or aluminum? Aluminum would be worth the most, galvanized the second and painted would be worth the least. It also really depends on the needs of the person you are trading it too.

Since you can tow 1 doo with a double trailer and can't tow 2 with a single, the person you are trading with will likely want the trade more than you so this could work in your advantage.

Post a pic of the trailer so we can give you a better estimate!

Thats a pretty nice looking trailer. Me personally, I would try and get around 300-400 plus a single trailer in a trade. The main reason is the fact that someone who wants a double usually needs a double!!

I am not sure what the market is like where you are, but here a new galvanized single trailer will run you around $1000 and a double around $1200. Used it would be about $300-$400 less for one in good shape.

Hope this helps!

Wow... here i think we must get a lot more.. I was offered 500 but told i could get 7-900 easy if i waited until spring..

Almost all of the trialers here are painted and doubles cost 1800-2200 for ones like I have.

thanks for your input...

Ya....thats why its hard to tell....stuff is priced differently everywhere. I got mine brand new for $900 single and a double was $300 more. It also depends on the brand and the year. Mine isn't the best trailer you will get either....its a Jet Master, some Canadian company. Yours would obviously be worth more than mine...

For example...here is a link for the your trailer (I think..not sure of the year) for $1000.

Try checking your area for ones that are for sale to get a good price comparison.
